The word Punjab has come out of two words “Punj” and “aab” Which means “Land of five glasses of water”.Punjab is the largest province with respect to population and the second largest by land. Punjab holds a number of cosmopolitan cities in Pakistan. 

It is a very ancient land that has been a part of Pakistan since its independence.

Lahore: 

Lahore is the provincial capital and the second largest city of Pakistan, also known as the cultural heart of Pakistan. It Is an important city in Pakistan with respect to its culture, economy, and area. 

 It borders India Known as Wagah Border. It is the 18th largest city in the world. The inhabitants are known as “Lahori”.Many well-known universities are also found here.

Lahore got its brightest state during Mughal Empire between the 16th and 18th centuries when it was made the Capital city for many years. Lahore was a center spot in the movement for independence.

It is also an alluring place for tourist from inside and outside of Pakistan as it has many well-known and amazing places to visit that captures the heart of its viewers 

Lahore Fort: 

The Lahore Fort is the manifestation of History and one of the most commonly visited places in Pakistan. 

It is located in northern Lahore and covers an area of 28 hectares.  

It is a house of 21 amazing monuments of which some belong to the Akbar Empire. It was almost rebuilt in the 17th century.

It is divided into two sections. One of the two sections’ administrative sections is well connected with the main entrance and includes Diwan e Khas for royal people. It also contains Sheesh Mahal which is so precious and alluring, that it spellbound people.

The Naulakha Pavilion is an important and worth-seeing sight at this fort. It was made from an extortionate amount of 900,000 rupees. It was located at west of sheesh Mahal. The structure is adorned with Precious stones.

Another important site at this amazing fort is Picture Wall which has a special position in this fort as per its artistic work. The size of the wall is almost 1,450 ft having 116 panels that contain the historic myriad of elephant fights and polo games etc giving it a unique look. 

Other important and mind-blowing sites at this  Fort include Lal Burj, Kala Burj, the summer palace, The khutbah of Jahangir, moti masjid, and numerous outstanding gates.

Shalimar Garden Badshahi Mosque: 

Shalamar Garden was presented as a Persian garden in which people co-occur in a great bonding with the exciting elements of nature. This Garden is also based on the Mughal complex. It was constructed in 1642. which is located near Baghbanpura.

 Its design was basically based on the Shalimar garden in Kashmir which was built under the rule of Emperor Jahangir.

The beauty of this garden is unable to be described in words. It is known as Paradise Garden. It has a wide variety of beautiful and breathtaking flowers and trees that add to its beauty.

Wazir Khan Mosque: 

Wazir Khan Mosque is also an embodiment of beauty and glory. Its construction commenced in 1634. It is another important accomplishment made during Mughal rule. It is the most elaborately decorated Mosque constructed during the Mughal time. 

The Kashi Kari work on tiles adds to its beauty. The mosque was decorated again in 2009. Mosque was made under the orders of chief physician Hakeem llama-ud Din Ansari ( also known as Wazir Khan) who afterward was made the viceroy of Punjab and was commanded for many other monuments in Lahore.

This Mosque was specifically made for the Sufi saint Miran Badshah whose Tomb now lies in the Courtyard of this mosque. It was made during the rule of  Shah Jahan. The mosque is a real definition of amazing beauty and unique architecture that defines it.

Tomb of Jahangir: 

The tomb of Jahangir is a famous mausoleum constructed especially for the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. It also captures the sight of visitors. This amazing tomb was made in the 17th century for the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. It is present on the Northwest side of the Walled city of Lahore.

The amazing style of this tomb had come from Persian architecture. The amazing light coming from Holy Mecca is screened by the carved net in the interior of the tomb that afterward reaches the burial place of Jahangir.

The alluring beauty of the gardens that surround this tomb is divided into four squares having a further division of small squares with pathways, thus the garden forms a quadrangle.

Noor Jahan tomb:

This very tomb was particularly built and preciously designed for Mughal Empress  Noor Jahan. This tomb excites the viewers with its enchanting beauty.

This very tomb also known as the red sandstone tomb is embellished with pietra dura. The beautiful tomb of Jahangir lies nearby. The Mughal Empress Mehrunisa was blessed with the amazing title of Nur Jahan which meant Light of the World. 

The tomb is in the shape of a square and covers an area of 124 feet on each side and is 19.6 feet high.

The burial place of Noor Jahan consists of a platform made up of marble having two cenotaphs one of which is in the memory of Noor Jahan while the other re-memorizes her daughter Ladli Begum. 

 Minar-e-Pakistan: 

This amazing monument is our national monument. The specialty of this miner is that it was constructed to commemorate the day when Pakistan’s resolution was passed.

Lahore Museum:

It is also an exhibition of great historical monuments and amazing worth-watching things.

 Data Darbar Complex: 

This shrine complex houses the tomb of a saint named Ali haywire. It holds a special position among the appreciators. This place is considered to be the most pious place in Lahore.

Originally the Shrine was situated as an ordinary grave present near the mosque he had built during the 11th century but during the Mughal period this beautiful place had got a very precious position in the heart of Muslims so it was rebuilt and expanded. It was embellished with white marble which adds to its value. It has a wide courtyard. 

The Shrine holds a very important political, social, and economic position in Lahore and amazingly is a place where there is no distinction between rich or poor.

Baagh e Jinnah:

It is a pure display of nature that attracts every beauty lover with its amazing display. It is located on Mall Road. 

This amazing Garden is a house of many evergreen trees spread around that also includes many old trees and as the name signifies The founder of Pakistan thus this Garden also has a huge library.

 Lahore Zoo:

A Lahore zoo is also a great place worth visiting. That is quite a famous place and very joyful for children. It was established in 1872 and is considered to be one of the largest zoos in Pakistan.

These days the zoo is having 1378 animals. It is even considered to be in the third or fourth position in the counting of The Oldest Zoo in the World.

Rawalpindi:

Rawalpindi is considered to be a well-renowned hill station stop for tourists before departing to famous northern areas of Pakistan such as Bhurban, Patriata, Murree, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. It is just the beginning of those areas of Pakistan that spell bounds the people in its enchanting grip.

Pharwala Fort:

This fort was established in the 15th century. Since it is displaying an amazing masterpiece of history.

It is situated at a distance of 40 kilometers from Rawalpindi naturally it is screened by the Himalayan range on one side and by the Sawan River on the other side now this fort is not in a good-looking condition.

An ancient and giant Banyan tree is also located inside the fort. There is no special pathway to the Fort so it is not easily accessible. One has to cross the river walking to reach it.

Sheikhupura: 

It is, although, not a prominent city in Pakistan, it is holding an attraction for not only civilians but also tourists.

This city was founded by the Mughal emperor Jahangir.

 Hiran Minar: 

Hiran Minar was also constructed in the time of a Mughal emperor and became an interesting place to visit till now.

 Khewra:

The most famed salt mine in Khewra is the reason for its beauty. It holds a superior position in tourist attractive places.

Faisalabad:

It’s the third most populous city in Pakistan. Faisalabad has become an important industrial and distribution center because of its major position in the region.

Clock Tower: 

It is counted in those monuments of Pakistan that are presenting history and still standing in their original state.

 Eight Bazars: 

The eight famous bazaars of Faisalabad are Aminpur Bazar, Katchery Bazar, Karkhana Bazar, Jhang Bazar, Bhawana Bazar, 

Rail Bazar, Chiniot Bazar and Mintgumri Bazar. 

 Multan:

Multan is another important and famous tourist destination in south Punjab. It is well famed for its mausoleums of Sufi Pirs and Saints. Among the most famous are:

This is one of the provinces of Pakistan that has its location in the south of  Pakistan. It has the second-largest population and is the third-largest province of Pakistan by area. Sindh has a desert in its eastern part that borders India.

 Sindh owns the second-largest economy. Its provincial capital Karachi is the largest city in Pakistan and also is the financial hub. Sindh is an important province due to its strong industrial sector and also it holds two important commercial seaports. Sindh has a very unique and classical culture.

Karachi:

It is the largest city in Pakistan known as the city of lights. It is an important city in Pakistan with respect to its important role in the economy and industry situations of Pakistan. There are numerous Pakistan attractions in this city.

Mazar-e-Quaid:

This is the tomb of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid e Azam. As Pakistanis keep great respect for the founder of their motherland since this place is also a center of respect and attraction for the people.

Port Qasim: 

Port Qasim plays an important role in the development of the economy of Pakistan, as it encourages the exchange of goods from all around the world.

Shah Jahan Mosque:

Hadero Lake:

It is located in the Thatta district. Hadero lake is a great brackish lake, where waterfowl takes place.

Mohenjo Daro: 

It is an archaeological place in Sindh that is in real an old settlement of old Indus. It was discovered by R. D. Banerji in 1922. It contains monuments that present the old culture.

Sehwan:

It is also an old historic place. Sehwan is situated in the Jamshoro District of Sindh in Pakistan. It is located on the west bank of the Indus.

Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Shrine:

This place is also an important place that reminds me of the Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

 Shrine of Lucky Shah Sadar: 

It is the holy place for the followers of Saint Shah Sadar.

Bodla Bahar Tomb: 

It is also an amazing place to visit. This is also an embodiment of Pakistan attractions where the devotees of Saint Bodla are seen busy, helping others.

Manchar Lake: 

It is a very special lake that is the largest lake in Pakistan having fresh water. Not only Pakistan but even it is the largest lake in Asia having peaceful vibes all around.

Thar desert:

It is also an attractive place in Sindh. This desert joins with Punjab and India also. This desert is also known as the Great Indian Desert. Most of its area is present in India. About 85% of this desert is covered by India. This is a great symbol of time and history.

It used to be known as North-West Frontier Province(NWFP). It is very famous for its Northern areas. The mountainous beauty that it is having is out of any explanation. This province is known for its beauty. The people love staring at its beauty and to remain under its spell for a long.

The language used here is Pashto and the people are mostly called Pashtoon or Pakhtoon.

Peshawar: 

It is the capital city of KPK. This is also an eye-capturing city having some places worth visiting. It is the sixth largest Pakistan City in Pakistan it is located in the valley of Peshawar near the end of Khyber pass. It has numerous worth visiting places. 

It is located in the house of mountains. The name of the city come from the word “Purushapura”, Which means ‘city of men’.

Bala Hisar Fort: 

It is a historic place in Peshawar. It is located at a high mound in Peshawar’s northwestern corner. It was used as a residence for royals during the Durrani Empire. 

The word means “High Fort”.It is situated on the Northwest side of Peshawar. The view of Peshawar from this fort is pretty. The Fort is allowed for tourism purposes by the government,  however, International tourists are required to take their passports with them. 

Mahabat Khan Mosque: 

It is one of those places that people must visit. It is a precious moment of the Mughals era. Its visit will be worth it. It was made in the 17th century In 1630 and was named after the Mughal emperor Mohabbat Khan Bin Ali Mardan Khan. 

In old times the minarets of this Mosque were used for hanging Prisoners like 5 people per day. The size of the mosque is 30,155 square feet.  It has an open courtyard having an ablution pool. The hall on the west side is used for prayer purposes having two minarets that are divided into three parts. The prayer hall has three domes.  The roof is decorated with many beautiful merlons.

Bab-e-Khyber: 

It is also a historical place that people love to watch and visit. It is a symbolic place in Peshawar.

Rehman baba tomb: 

It is the burial place of Rahman Baba. This shrine is very worthy of appreciation.

Swat: 

It is also a very beautiful place to visit having mountainous views that excites the people and cast a spell on them. The beauty of the Valley it is having is so precious and beautiful that people fall in love with them at first sight. It is a very famous district in the Malakand division of KPtK hat is renowned for its extreme beauty of nature.

Swat Valley:

This very beautiful place is known as Mini Switzerland. It is one of the places worth watching.

Kumrat Valley:

This Valley is also the definition of nature and its charm.

Madyan:

It is one of the famous and worth watching hill stations located at some distance from it is indeed a very alluring place.

Malam Jabba:

It is an eye-capturing Hill Station in the Hindu Kush mountain in Swat valley. It is present at an elevation of 9199 ft.

Northern Areas of Pakistan:

If you talk about tourist attractive places the first thing that comes to mind is the extreme vision of the northern areas of Pakistan. These areas are specially mentioned in tourist attractions places. 

The widespread lake view, far-expanded mountains, and the never-ending beauty of valleys are among those wonderful places worth watching. Among all, the most commonly mentioned and worth visiting are:

Naran Kaghan Valley:

People visiting the northern areas never forget to enjoy the charm of this very place of Pakistan. The beauty is so capturing that one wants to stay under its spell forever.

Naran in reality is a town in the Kaghan valley of Mansehra. It is about 119 kilometers from Mansehra. It is a very famous tourist destination because of the present weather and amazing site. The high and towering mountains covered with snow give a breathtaking sight. 

When the high blow of summer strikes the people of Punjab and Sindh they quickly make their way to the beautiful sight of these valleys and the other Northern areas. The number of tourists coming from outside Pakistan is increasing day by day and it is expected that they will increase to 5 million in 2020.

Kaghan valley extends to 155 kilometers across Northern Pakistan and is present at a height of 60m. The earthquake that hit Kashmir in 2005 has affected this place too but since then it has been rebuilt greatly.

Saif-ul-Maluk Lake:

The beauty of this lake is out of any explanation. A single visit will make you fall in love with it. 

This lake is named after a prince, Saif Ul look, from a story written by a Sufi poet Mian Muhammad bakhsh who talked of this lake.

This amazing lake is located at the end of the kaghan valley on the Northern side. It is present in the Mansehra district of kpc generally about 6 miles North of Naran.

.The highest peak in this Valley near the lake is  Malika Parbat. The presence of the widespread alluring beauty of the lake surrounded by amazing and heart-capturing mountains wearing a cap of snow will give you goosebumps.

This beautiful lake has formed as a result of the melting of glaciers passing through the valley Nearby. Large brown Trout reside in this lake. 

Shandur Pass:

This pass connects Gilgit-Baltistan with KPK. It is also known as Roof of the World. And is known for its amazing view.

This also Snow White a ground for the Polo matches during the annual changer Polo Festival.

Mahodand lake:

A single view of this mind-blowing lake is enough to make one crazy in its beauty. People also enjoy this Pakistani attraction by giving it a visit.It is known as the Lake of Fishes situated in Usho Valley about 35 km from Swat. This lake can be reached by FWD and is most commonly known for boating and fishing. 

This is an amazing camping site as the lake is having Pines and Pastures on its bank. It has two divisions of large and small streams, which once had brown and rainbow trout. People here make their livelihood by fishing here. But fishing here using illegal methods has lessened the population of fish here.

Nathia Gali Hills:

Nathia Gali is also one of those places that must not be missed while talking about Pakistan attractions. And so the fact is, people, keep it on top of their list while planning to visit the beauty of Pakistan.

It is a hill station in Abbottabad. It is situated at such a location having numerous hill stations connected with one another and most of all, each one is named ending with ‘Gali’.

 Nathiagali took away all the competition being matchless in its beauty and amazing touring site. It is located about 32 km from Abbottabad and Murree. One can reach Nathiagali from Islamabad and Peshawar in three or four hours irrespective of heavy traffic.

The weather in Nathiagali is ideally pleasant. People enjoy its weather in all seasons. And it is a perfect place for perfect vacations.

MushkPuri :

It is a mountain in Nathiagali Hills having a height of 2800 meters. As per Nathiagali, it is also worth visiting. An extremely amazing place that will bind you under its spell. It is located 90 km to the north of Islamabad. MukshPuri is the second highest peak after Miranjani in Galyat Region.

Its name Mushkpuri is taken from Sanskrit words, Moksha means liberation, and Puri which means city. It also has great significance for Hindus due to their great legends of Pandavas. 

Ansoo Lake:

This lake is different and unique as per its name. It is having a tear-shaped look that is worth seeing. It is a present height of 4245 meters above sea level. It is considered to be one of the greatest lakes in the Himalayas range. It is present near the mountain of Mallika Parbat.

discovered in 1993 by the pride of Pakistan from the Pakistan Air Force. The view is breathtaking and the place is suitable for vacations. Sometimes the lake is not visible due to fog and the fog blocks the view.

Hindu Kush Mountain:

This is a vast mountain range that Pakistan shares with Afghanistan. Its highest mountain Tirich Mir is too worth applauding. 

It is in 800 kilometers long Mountain Range that spreads from Afghanistan to the north of Pakistan. It has served as president during the attacks on the Indian subcontinent and has also played its role during wars in Afghanistan. It  was known as the ‘Watertown  of Asia.’ It has been hit by an earthquake several times resulting in giving it a shape. In ancient times it was known as “Paropamisadae”.

The name Hindu Kashmir Hindu killer and is to remind us of the time when slaves from the Indian subcontinent had died in severe weather while they were taken to Asia.

Khyber Pass:

It is located on the border with Afghanistan in the northwest of Pakistan. It has a great historical background and a worthy place in the hearts of its viewers.

It has served as an important trade route between Asia and the Indian subcontinent for a time. It is a part of the Asian highway.  The region taken by this pass is 5 kilometers inside Pakistan.

 In old times important attack in this area was carried out by this pass. This pass also played an important role during the war in Afghanistan as it was the main path for re-supplying military tools and food to the forces of Afghan.

Balochistan:

Balochistan is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. It is the largest of all provinces with respect to land. The region is shared among three countries, Pakistan, Iran, and Balochistan. Most of its area lies in Pakistan. People here are called Baloch.

Quetta: 

It is the provincial capital and largest city of Balochistan. The name is taken from the word “Kwatta” from the Pashto language, which means Fort. As the city is bounded by hills from all sides. Three mountain ranges that surround it are Koh e Murdar, Zarghun, and Chitral.

Quetta is an important city country because it borders Afghanistan and Iran. Its population is approx 2 million.

The climate of Quetta is very pleasant and healthy and so people enjoy it too.

Hanna Lake: 

Hanna Lake is a very beautiful lake in the Urak Valley near Quetta, in southwest Pakistan. The mountainous border around the henna adds to its beauty. The flag of Pakistan in the middle of this lake increases its beauty with its grace. It is located 11 miles east of the city of Quetta. It is counted among the most visited and liked lakes in Balochistan.

Spin Karez:

It is a worth visiting place that is present at a distance of about an hour from Quetta city. This amazing place is famous for its coal mines and this lake. It is a little distance from Hanna Valley. In reality, it is a Karez, which means dealing with the local water system.

Hazarganji-Chiltan National Park:

This is a very beautiful and amazing recreational park in Quetta. It was created in 1980. The mind-blowing purpose of its creation was to secure Markhor which is the National animal of Pakistan. This is located on land covering 325,000 acres. 

The most commonly seen animals in this park include Markhor at the most then wolves, leopards, and striped hyenas. Permission is required for the visit.

Bolan Pass:

It passes through the Toba Kakar Range in the west of Pakistan. Bolan Pass is about 120 km from the border of Afghanistan. The total area taken by this pass is about 90 kilometers. 

It has a great historical background too. It is shown as a path over a towering range full of ravines. It has also been used as a bridge to and from South Asia. The majority of its northern parts consist of Pashtuns. And the south has Brahvi tribes.

Ziarat: 

It is a district in the north of Balochistan.. It is located about 130 kilometers from Quetta. This city was hit by an earthquake in 2008. And it caused great destruction causing about 200 people to die. 

It has a great surrounding of greenery to make it ever attractive. During snowfall, this place gives the view of a paradise with puffy snowballs reaching the ground from the sky. It is one of those amazing places that catch the eye of people. It is located 2449 meters above sea level.

Quaid-e-Azam Residency: 

Quaid e Azam being the founder of Pakistan holds a very special position in our hearts, and so his stay place. It is the place where Muhammad Ali Jinnah spent the last days of his life. It was constructed in 1892. It had a wooden structure once. 

But now it is converted to the residence of the Governor General. It was once targeted by the attackers in 2013 and was badly broken. However, it was soon restored. Even this residency is spotted on the note of 100 rs from 2008.

 Juniper Forests: 

Juniper Forest is a great definition of beauty. They make a cover for Ziarat. The land covered by these forests is 99960 hectares. It is the largest Juniper forest in Pakistan.

 It is also a home for many dangerous species such as markhor, black bear, burial, and wolf. Another reason for its importance is that they help prevent the water reserves from being evaporated, thus saving the lives of many local people depending on it.

Sibbi:

Sibbi is a historical city in Balochistan. The Horse and Cattle show on the annual Sibi Festival is worth watching and famous too. This place is extremely hot. It has high temperatures during summer, especially in June, the temperature reaches more than 50 °C . Historically, Sibi came under British rule in 1880 and was finally freed in 1947.

Gwadar-Pasni:  

Gwadar has a special position in Pakistan as it holds the largest seaport in the province. The city is present near the Arabian Sea It plays an important role in strengthening the economy of Pakistan as the seaport present here plays an important role in trading outside Pakistan. Its construction started in 2001.

The word Gwadar is taken by joining two Balochi words guard. 

And Dar, where Guad means Wind and Dar means door, so at whole Gwadar means “The gate of winds”.

Pasni is another important city of medium size having a fishing port. It has a population of around 33,000. It is about 450 km from Karachi situated on the Makran coast on the Arabian Sea. It is in real famous for fishing providing bread and butter for the individual living there.

Makran:

Desert being rare has always proven to be the attention seeker along with the mountains and lakes. Makran is also a semi-desert. It is a coastal strip in Pakistan and Iran present in Balochistan.

Makran coastal range is a mountainous range in Makran present in the Southwest of Balochistan. The thing that makes it unique is that this range is made up of sandstone and limestone. 

Kund Malir: 

Kund Malir is a very precious location in Pakistan. It is a very alluring and worth-visiting beach in Hingol National Park.  It is about 150 kilometers from the Zeo-Point on the Makran coastal highway and at a distance of about 260 km from Karachi. 

The precious and amazing view of this beach spellbound its viewers so that they never forget this mind-blowing place and make them desire to visit it again and again. The sight of sunset is breathtaking. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
